My husband and I both run Speedcross 4's for our daily 4-6 mile runs. I was a little nervous about spending that kind of money on kids shoes but my son slips and slips and falls just as he starts walking cross country with us. Of course we can't let him get hurt, so I bought them for him. They are very similar to the adult version. Not cheaper, just as good. I am very satisfied with the quality and assembly. It's growing and some of the other shoes we just bought are a size 1 and seem to have more room in them. They seemed a bit small, but still usable. I would say take a size up. I would go back and order a size 2 but my youngest daughter will need them when she outgrows them very soon.
