So I had no trouble charging my iPhone but I had trouble using my iPad. I have a six year old son who is obsessed with charging this iPad and often leaves the charger plugged in throughout the day. We broke these cables in the iPad, and the first cable actually broke the metal contacts on the iPad, preventing the original Apple connector from going back to charge the device. My husband took a deep breath, pushed back the misplaced contacts and luckily we were able to recharge our device. We thought it was an accident with my child's first cable, but having had the head of this connector come loose twice more in an iPad, this is one product that might not take a little side shear. my kid and found that we didn't have this problem with the original chargers. I even bought an extra set of chargers considering how much I thought I was getting. . . From now on I'll switch to Mfi certified cables to protect my expensive Apple devices and throw away my extra version of this product.
