Of all the Legos I stepped on this winter, these were the most common.

The build wasn't great for a 6-year-old too hard but good endurance workout on a rainy day. Suitable for interactive play, not just model building, as the pods detach and become an obstacle for dad to step on when he goes to work at midnight.

Pros

The LEGO City marine research base includes interchangeable housing and research modules, plus a docking submarine with movable inspection arms, spinning propeller and opening cockpit with space for 2 minifigures
