So, I just bought my first set of friction tyres after reading numerous articles and reviews claiming that they are just slightly less effective than studded tires. On snow and oatmeal, the car accelerates more enthusiastically, brakes well, and handles well in all winter conditions other from pure ice. There was this one time when I was driving alone when it snowed throughout the night and coated the ice at the road's base, rendering my automobile utterly uncontrollable and sending me into a dizzying spin. A couple of incidents occurred throughout the winter, but the feelings are awful. I'm still considering selling these tires and using spikes to transport them next winter. These tires are still probably not legal where I reside in Hong Kong. See for yourself, make up your own mind, is what I recommend.
