I have had severe scoliosis for almost 50 years and have been in severe pain for about 20 years. I put this corset on last Saturday and went hiking with NO PAIN! The fact that it supports my entire upper body was key, but I'm still using my own muscles. I have a long torso but it still presses against my head when I lean on the shoulders but I think that's a good reminder! I'm medium height with a 34 inch chest measurement at the sternum. It's bulky and I looked silly in it over my hiking shirt, but I didn't care. I was dizzy with joy that my back didn't hurt! Not a cure for my problems, but it will allow me to be active without discomfort. 4 stars while I wait to see how it wears and wears down over time.
