Yes, it works and it's very simple. Unfortunately, my screen turns off for a split second every one to two minutes. This will never pass the movie night women test. Use it with a 2nd generation Fire TV Stick. Update: It worked for about four hours. My Fire TV Sick overheated several times and now the adapter doesn't work with any HDMI device. I return it and start my research again. Update 6/20/17: Tendak replaced my device immediately the day after the failure and the replacement works great with my Chromecast. I haven't tested it with a FireTV Stick yet. We'll see if the screen blanking and overheating return when I get a chance to test it. Tendak's customer service has been impressive and they certainly stand by their product. I have never seen a supplier so interested in fixing an upset customer.
