I bought this item against my better knowledge. It ONLY charges when the phone is placed directly on the charger. If you put magnets on it it will not get charged and you will forget to add a case (especially any kind of high power case) as it will definitely not get charged by the case and magnets. Also, the magnets alone aren't strong enough, and definitely not strong enough in a case, to hold the phone in place. This was a huge waste of money, don't buy.
