The benefits of it include: In spite of the fact that it was surprising, the accuracy of the measurement of the pulse was compared with a chest sensor. The difference is two to three strokes up to 160 total strokes. In conjunction with a watch that has a chest sensor, I use it while I'm working out on an exercise bike. The accuracy is acceptable, and there is very little chance of the data being altered. Controlling the time during training was made easier with a dial interface, which also provided alerts warning of exceeding the maximum heart rate and displaying the most recent heart rate readings. Cons: When used on a night shift, it can wrongly measure the condition of sleep at the time of awake, which can be a problem for employees.
