Our house was built in the mid fifties so most of the outlets are still 2 pin except for the ones we have upgraded to modern appliances etc. But all the other outlets are still 2 pin and we had to use these use the three-pin adapter in many outlets, but not all. So it was great to find these two pin plugs. I bought two of these to see if they work and if they work well enough and actually look way better than the old orange or gray adapters we used. I will buy four or six more of these over time. I recommend them to others who have similar wiring problems in older homes.
