Works great on Linux but horizontal slots are tricky

Plug this into an old Lenovo PC without USB 3 into an unused PCIe x16 slot (graphics card). The machine is running an older (almost old) Ubuntu 12.04.5 LTS with kernel 3.8.0-44. Works well, although no speed tests have been run. The included booklet says it should later work with Linux 2.6.31 without installing drivers, and that's my experience. The only downside to this device is that the card needs to be perfectly aligned with the card slot cutout in order for the USB ports to fit the card. that worked for me too.
