The chair wasn't the most comfortable chair to begin with, but it worked. However, 2-3 months after buying the chair (several hours a day, 5 days a week), it started to tilt to one side. Not only was he leaning sideways, but the hydraulics that either raised or lowered the chair stopped working. Every time I lifted the chair and then sat on it, it would begin to sink to the lowest level that the chair could be lowered to. After about 4 months the tilt got worse and I could no longer sit upright because the locking mechanism that prevented the chair from tipping back no longer worked. After all, after about 5 months, the chair is simply no longer usable. As soon as I try to sit down, the chair tilts in all directions depending on the angle and I can't even sit up straight. When I try to recline in the chair, the back of the chair is almost horizontal and almost knocks the entire chair over. If you want a chair that will last around 2 months and then just start breaking then I would recommend a more comfortable chair than this. Huge waste of money in my opinion. I ended up buying a more comfortable and durable Goodwill chair for $5.99. If you're thinking about buying a decent task chair, check out a few others before you buy this one.
