I'm a kayaking newbie. Wore these on my first long (12mi) paddle. they worked well, are comfortable, and dry fast. They size very large, surprising for budget footwear. I wear a size 13.5 in most shoes, and 14 in some, I have big feet. I bought 13, I could have easily gone with a 12 or even maybe an 11, they size that large. Keep in mind that these are very lightweight and provide limited protection. When loading the boat at the end of the day, a small stick kind of stabbed me in the toes, it didn't penetrate the shoe, but it hurt quite a bit. Standard sneakers would have protected against this. Still, they are excellent for launching a Kayak and not having to care if they get wet.
