I hate wearing belts, but losing weight has reacquainted me with them. I started looking for alternatives to the traditional belt and was dying for something that didn't have a buckle and, more importantly, an extra tail. on the loop tape. It is not only simple and clear, but also at an attractive price. I was a little concerned that the velcro wouldn't stick well, but I was very impressed with how well it worked. It hasn't slipped, come loose on its own or caught anywhere, it just works. An added bonus is that it works no matter how you put it on. I would give it a full 5 stars if it weren't for two minor issues: the velcro feels too stiff and creases near the seams secure it to the nylon. Performance doesn't appear to be compromised, but it does make it feel "cheap" or poorly made - the exposed Velcro takes a bit of getting used to. Unlike most Velcro, the "loop" side is not very soft, it seems closed due to the presence of 2 "hook" surfaces. Regardless of how you pull the belt through, there is usually an open section, depending on your girth and the size of the belt. Sometimes I find my hands touching it. It's not uncomfortable, but I wish it was softer or had the ability to hide the exposed Velcro.
