According to the reviews I took one size more, they were still too small. They also don't stretch much, making them more restrictive. I didn't like how thick they were, they seemed to have padding, it was very odd and not like other surf shorts I've bought. I usually wear medium, ordered large, had to take XL. Cute print, but the fit, lack of stretch, and thickness ultimately made it easy to decide to return.
