Size small for my 7 lb Yorkie. I'm so glad I finally found a coat that covers his entire back. I just got it so haven't tried it in the rain yet but I think it will work fine. It's a little big, but not so big that it doesn't hold up. I'm curious if the bottom strap is in a position that would prevent it from doing its thing. It looks like it's possible, but I haven't tested it yet. A very small one would probably be the best option for that reason alone, but I didn't want to go that small because the coat I've bought in the past never covered his whole back, and since he hates the rain that was my main goal to get full coverage in that area. I will update this review once this issue is resolved. It's light but fuzzy inside. I think it will be great for the rain. I hope my little one is more ready to go out in the rain once he sees this coat will keep him dry!
