I was concerned because the product description does not indicate Dell 5570 compatibility. Model number LA45NM140 which is the original Power Supply (PS) comes with MOM Inspiron 5570. I have tested this unit for over two weeks and found that it works not only as a perfect replacement but probably the best replacement. As part of my testing, I discharged the battery to about 10% and then fully charged it, used it alternately with my OEM PS box to compare the percentages/charge times reported by the system and all factors were equal. This is important because the laptop's "smart" functions to manage charging and extend battery life depend on "smart" electronic circuitry built into the power supply. That means, like many modern power supplies, these devices have to deliver more than just "power". I decided to try this PWR+ box over others I've researched because with a 65W rating (vs. 45W) it should last longer and run with less heat, and (bonus) because it's powered by a 2 -year warranty is covered! Since power supplies have been shown to be often the "weak link" in the reliability of electronic components, all other things being equal, it's always good for reliability and efficiency if you can choose a power supply with some "extra power". Simply put, since a 65W PSU doesn't have to work as hard to provide the power/performance required by the laptop (compared to a similarly configured 45W PSU), a 65W PSU should work more efficiently and longer keep. . If that's a bit confusing, you can think of it as trying to cruise down a freeway at 55 mph on a 90cc scooter. cm compared to cruising at the same speed on a 250cc motorcycle. While you might find that the scooter needs to hit the red RPM line to keep up with traffic, obviously the larger bike's motor isn't going to work as hard to maintain that speed. I don't think there is a need to explain which motor will run more efficiently and which will most likely last longer! While my original Dell PSU gets noticeably hotter, this PWR+ PSU only gets slightly warmer by comparison; as it should (to an extent) if it is indeed a 65W device. In other words (ceteris paribus), this alone proves that the 65W PSU components are not working as hard as a laptop's PSU. In summary, if a 65W device generates less heat than a 45W device under the same "load" conditions, it's either because its design is better or because it doesn't work as hard , but possibly both. In this case I think it's both, but either way it's clearly the better choice. Obviously the seller is as confident as I am as they show their confidence by offering a 2 year guarantee. The OEM warranty on the power supply is also only 1 year. A potential downside is that the PWR+ connector on the end of the laptop can "wiggle" a bit, in the sense that it does NOT appear to be as tight on the laptop as the OEM. Interconnects. However, this does not mean that the OEM connector is tight; because it isn't. However, since I am always careful with these compounds, I assume that they will last as long as the original. Therefore, I cannot use my subjective observation as justification for deducting a star from my rating. In my opinion, a laptop's power connector is the weak point of most laptop models, and unfortunately, many expensive laptops are so fragile and vulnerable in this area. In particular, since there is no functional "strain relief" to secure a typical laptop connector to the laptop case, and since the "connector" usually sticks out where it can be easily struck or otherwise stressed, these connectors are all like accidents waiting in the wings. . happen. Having noticed that some laptops have magnetic "breakaway" power connectors, I can only assume it's a shame not everyone has them. I've also found that since this PWR+ box uses a 90-degree connector for the Inspiron Power interface, its overall lead is smaller than the original, which is probably a plus. MY "GENERAL" ADVICE: Always make sure your power module (aka "BRICK") is securely protected so it doesn't become an airborne weight yanking the connector off the laptop when it's falls off the table and onto the floor. You can only damage the power supply, but you can also damage your laptop! PORTABLE: You may also notice that the power cord is longer than the original, which is a plus for me. However, the "KIRPICH" itself is also somewhat larger and heavier, which can pose a problem for some travelers. If you need a longer cable, now you have it. On the other hand, since a longer cable can present a greater tripping hazard, this is a "CATCH-22" situation. The good news is that while the PWR+ cord is longer, it's also fully interchangeable with the much shorter OEM power cord!
