I was hoping that this case would be quite stiff to withstand the pressure in a suitcase or a point impact, but the material is actually quite flexible, more like cardboard a piece of paper on the back. Also, the case has practically no internal gasket, a very thin layer of material near the case, probably no thicker than 2mm, there are no gaskets in the corners either. In the event of a fall from a height, you'll rely on the internal straps to hold the laptop in place and cushion the impact, rather than padding around the bag. The description on the website was also inaccurate - when closed the case is about 1.25 inches tall, not the 2 inches I saw when I bought it (but that's good, the case is at least fairly thin and compact). Finally, I've bought an identical case from another manufacturer for about half the price - so far I haven't seen anything that justifies such a price difference.
