Review on General Electric WR9X502 Defrost Timer by Jennifer Roberts

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Not only saved $70, actually saved $8,000

This timer is fine. Even for 11 dollars. The exact size and shape of a replacement for my 16 year old GE Monogram Bottom Freezer. And it seems to be working. The time will show. My local shop charged $70 for this part. Most people would give up a 16-year-old refrigerator, but a replacement costs $8,000. I spend 11€ and see what happens. Very satisfied. When your fridge is warm but the freezer is cold. And you see the accumulation of ice on the reels. This is the first item to be replaced. UPDATE: It's been a few weeks and the problem with ice on the freezer coils is gone. Although the original defrost timer was part number WR9X503 this is a direct replacement and appears to do the job.
