Highly recommended for people who need manual fan control. I gave it four stars because I think this product could be improved or a completely different product could be made that would make it easier to mount the controller outside of a computer case. You have power on one side and fans are supported on the other side via a 4 PWM connector. This makes it difficult to attach it to the case from the outside without clever thought (and the computer case allows for some modification). I used an unused hard drive bay that has an external removable window. I simply connected the controller to the power cable and two fans via the included splitter. I then mounted it to a removable door in my unused hard drive bay using command strips. The controller is small enough to fit in a very small space and is only a few inches long. Sometimes when I want to change the fan speed, I remove the outer case door where the external hard drives are located (it only takes a few seconds) and change the speed. The fan speed indicator lights up orange. It gets brighter when you turn it on. It's simple and effective, and even more useful when you can find a place to mount it - for easy access. The value isn't bad considering you get a 3-way fan splitter (and a power cable for the controller). As always, this noctua product is of very high quality.
