Setup was very easy. Was surprised they were already charged so didn't have to wait for a sunny day to use them for the first time. The light goes on a long coiled thread of copper thread. Two sets are included in the package. You can mount these solar panels on a surface that is sure to receive sunlight, or even place them using the garden stakes provided. They are not blindingly bright. They highlight the area with beautiful light. Tiny LED beads add a warm glow to where you place them. I hung them around my deck railing on a 14ft x 14ft deck. There was enough light to go around all the railings as seen in the photo and still enough to go down the railings where they meet the house and across the lower porch floor to not waste any of the beautiful lights. I have another set and am considering wrapping them around my front porch. I haven't decided yet that I'm going to have more fun with the others. Copper wiring is an advantage. Rodents don't like copper and I have a lot of squirrels in my yard. So I hope they don't try to chew on the wire. Unlike New Year's garlands, thin copper wires are not at all visually intrusive. I love her!
