I've been a lifelong Brita user so was thrilled to see they've finally developed a desktop filter that captures lead! I followed the setup instructions exactly and everything seemed fine at first. The water filters a little slower than regular Brita filters, but that's okay and it tastes great. However, within 2-3 weeks every filter in this two pack started CRAPPING and barely filtered a batch of water in 8 hours(!). I then looked up Brita's official cleaning instructions for these filters and followed them to "t". It didn't help a bit. Shortly after attempting to repair each of the two filters, black spots emerged from them (see first photo). Now the box explicitly advertises "no black spots" (see second photo) and "works 3 times longer than conventional Brita filters", so if two of these filters don't last longer than 3 weeks and then spit black spots - either this one is defective product or false advertising. I see many people complaining about these issues and Brita is only offering discount coupons for her next purchase. That's ridiculous. Refund or replacement, Brita!
