Review on 🧴 Residential Lab & Scientific Products CSBD Plastic Spray Bottles by Tom Beland

Evaluation after 7 months of use - will not buy this model again

I purchased these in June 2020 specifically for spraying a diluted (<5%) bleach solution to sanitize items before bringing them indoors during COVID times. I tested all three bottles upon receipt and they all worked, meaning they were all able to produce a wide and fine mist; but one of them had a pistol with a hole in it which meant the bleach solution got on my shooting arm and dripped onto the floor. The second bottle lasted 7 months: While he was still spraying at 7 months, the trigger stroke became much shorter so the spray wasn't as powerful or wide. Upon disassembling the gun I found that the spring had rusted, become brittle and broken in several places - hence the shortened stroke. The spring appears to be stainless steel because it doesn't stick to the magnet; but I suspect the bleach solution is so harsh that even stainless steel can't stand it. I unwrapped the third bottle today and plan on rinsing the gun with fresh water after each use to see if it extends its life. Conclusion: I was hoping for better durability, so I won't be buying this again. Although after reading other people's experiences, it turned out that mine wasn't the worst.
