This car mount was needed because my old magnetic plate mounts just don't work well with Qi wireless charging. This mount looks very neat and holds tight. It has a nice motorized open/close handle rather than a spring loaded mechanism and it doesn't rattle like some of the other mounts I've had to return. VERY IMPORTANT: One thing that surprised me is that the mount actually still has enough power to use the motorized open/close mechanism when there is no power (i.e. you turned the car off). This is very important as some other motorized mounts will not release your phone after losing power. no problem with this mount. USB-C was an unexpectedly nice touch, and a cable is included. It actually starts charging my phone before it even dies, so I suspect thicker cases won't be a problem.
