I bought this for my 5 year old. The robot moves well on a smooth, level surface. It falls on a carpet or when it hits an object on its way. My daughter loves to dance. We're still working on making the manual commands work well. The remote control isn't complicated but has a lot of small buttons for a 5 year old. Imitation of Takeya. There are built-in life lessons about politeness, hygiene, and work ethic that are odd. There are scientific facts that are also bizarre. If you leave the robot alone for a moment, it will whimper and demand that someone play with it. Then it turns off. All in all, a good robot for beginners because you don't have to do anything to make it weirdly interesting. I wish the movement on surfaces was more stable.
