Ideal for towing. The extensions really helped tow a 32 foot van. When not towing it offers excellent visibility and you can see everything in the blind spots. I've driven a little on ice and snow, but that's not enough to fully check the heated mirrors. The only criticism is cosmetic as you can clearly see the wires attached to the back of the mirrors through the gap between the mirror and its body. The gap is big enough to find a way to close it. Haven't had any problems with the car wash so far.
