But good for the price.

For $20 this is an amazing tripod. I use it with my 7 Plus (with case) no problem. It's a bit flimsy and has a few rattles, but overall worth the meager price tag. I use it indoors/studio so have no idea about outdoor durability. Here's what I would suggest to improve this product: 1. Add sound deadening and stabilizing grommets to the joints. A small amount of rubber or felt around the rivets and pivot points would help against wobbling and the tendency to transmit noise into phone microphones. For overhead use, develop some sort of extension and counterweight that can act as an arrow. This of course increases the price, but the benefits outweigh the original purchase price.3. Improve remote control/phone compatibility. Unfortunately, my Note 5 registers the remote as a keyboard, so I have to dial a six-digit pairing code from the remote before it can pair. There are only three buttons on the remote control; capture, zoom in and out. The remote control cannot be connected to my Note. Basically, the remote control is useless every time this problem occurs. Also, try adding remote zoom capabilities to iOS. Only the record button works on the iPhone, and that's a shame.4. Think of another mechanism to rotate the phone holder. The dual attachment point/turntable is a bit tricky to use at times. Something as simple as a latch or linkage works much better. Again, given the cost, this is a great product. Can I pay a little more for something more sophisticated and with more accessories? No, I would definitely buy an upgraded version of this product. If you are looking for a cheap and easy-to-use phone tripod, you should definitely buy this product. But if you're expecting reliable, robust, and durable hardware, I'd probably skip it. I see that the support structure is easily and permanently damaged if not handled with care. At full height the wind can probably easily knock this rig over, so if you're the type of person who travels without a suitcase; Not. There's virtually no fall protection, and a 4-foot tumble is almost guaranteed to damage your device. Oh, and don't buy this if you intend to use it with a tablet. Even a 7" tablet would be too big for this tripod.
