If you are a parent, you know that baby pillows are too small and adult pillows are too thick. The cushion solves the problem well and allows you to remove as much padding as you need to keep everything just right. The pillow is a little smaller than adult size which I don't think made a difference but it really does - it's the right size for a 6 year old. I wish I had seen this when he was 4 years old growing out of his toddler pillow. I especially like that it's made from organic cotton and that the zip access allows me to easily adjust the loft. Some people have mentioned being bothered by the tiny black "seeds" but they are just cotton pods and they are not harmful and they are there because they do not bleach so no need to worry. You should be concerned if there are no stains as this likely means the manufacturer used bleach. This is a DEFINITE recommendation. My son sleeps very comfortably at night now.
