Review on Charge Controller Battery Regulator Display Tools & Equipment for Jump Starters, Battery Chargers & Portable Power by Tim Ross

Not as described - solar and wind powered

Firstly, this is not an MPPT controller. Presenting it as such is dishonest and fraudulent. I would send it back but really not worth the hassle. This is the same device that is sold under the Ideal Groom brand, in fact the device I received bears this tag. For some reason we are selling it with a dark label at a much lower price. So this is a PWM controller, and not a very good one. User instructions are poorly written, confusing, and just plain imprecise in places. The documentation claims it can handle 55 volts of solar input, but it actually flashes erroneously when that voltage exceeds 20 volts (12V mode) and the battery is pulsing. I wouldn't trust this device; I assume that if the solar input exceeds 20 volts, my battery will be damaged.
