Review on PandaEar Training Chopsticks: Perfect for Kids, Children, and Adults - 2 Pack by Brandon Vox

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Nothing for very small children. Meets my personal needs.

I bought these to practice eating with chopsticks at home. My goal is to force myself to eat more slowly. The knife and fork work well, too well. And that's the problem, isn't it? We eat too fast and we eat too much and we don't enjoy our food. I can't imagine eating and watching TV on the couch in the American posture either. You just can't eat a greasy hamburger off your plate with chopsticks on your lap. At the same time, it amazes me that this company believes that these chopsticks can teach a two-year-old how to use chopsticks. Although I can take cookies with me, it's inconvenient. The cookie is heavy and doesn't compress well, forcing me to apply pressure that a small child couldn't, provided they understand that the weight is the problem. That doesn't mean a two-year-old can't start learning how to use chopsticks. It used to be common for children to learn how to knit socks in rounds on thin steel needles before they could draw, write or read. The time to develop manual dexterity comes when they are too young to think about learning this skill. These are just not chopsticks for a child to learn with. They're slippery and dull, but the ridges on the inside actually keep food from getting off the table and into your mouth.
