There's not much to say about a hammer, but it's a good example of this type of instrument. Well balanced head and good but not excessive grip length. The head seems very well attached, and the handle is made of a very grippy, non-slip rubbery(?) coating material applied to wood or fiberglass. And the weight is more than adequate for tasks where you don't need or want to land massive hits. The head weight is listed as 0.661 pounds, which is approximately 10.6 ounces. (300 grams). But the hammer feels like throwing a little more weight. I don't know how long this German style instrument will last because I won't be clapping anything with it, but it certainly looks well made and durable in a sophisticated way.
