Do not hesitate to buy, the quality is amazing for the price.
I bought headphones back in 2022, still made in Ireland. The modern Chinese version has a slightly lower quality plastic, and a higher price. But now, thanks to the Chinese, spare ear pads can be found for quite reasonable money. Conclusion - if you need strong and high-quality closed headphones - the choice of HD 280 Pro is very good. Modern competitors for similar money may sound a few percent better, but they cannot boast of the same design reliability.
- + Very solidly made. Will not fall apart even with not very careful handling. I've had them for six years now. + Good sound. Very even frequency response. Wonderful microdynamics - convey even the smallest details of the composition. With a good player / amplifier / sound card, they are able to "pump bass" without losing details. + Excellent sound isolation - ear cups fit snugly and evenly. + A convenient cable with an equally convenient 6.3 mm adapter - the adapter is attached to the thread and provides excellent contact. + Owners of a large head will like it - the bow unbends even for the largest sizes.
- - The rather large weight of the structure is not the most comfortable option for long-term use. - On a small head they do not hold well. I do not recommend for teenagers and people of a compact physique.
