Mil-Spec, Not Military Grade
Having served in the Air Force for over 30 years, I have always been skeptical of the overused term Mil-Spec (Military Specification). This cable has the reasonable number of internal cables and weight tolerances to meet military specs, but it's not what I would call military grade. This is a very stiff line and the outer wrap is rough. I can't imagine it ever being suitable for parachute use where it would rip apart fragile material. I bought this for a dog leash and it is uncomfortably stiff and ties very easily. I do not recommend.
