Review on ๐Ÿพ Comfy and Stylish: Aspen Pet Round Animal Print Pet Bed for Small Dogs and Cats - 18-inch by 18-inch by Leslie Smith

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Our 10 lb senior cat loves him!

I'll admit I was skeptical about buying a bed for our thirteen year old cat - after all we have many beds, sofas and pillows in the house and she doesn't hesitate to use any of them when she wants. However, Rosie is not doing well and my six year old daughter insisted on saving some pocket money and buying a bed for herself. It took her a few weeks to save up enough, but once she did, we went online and she chose this one because it was "quirky" and not overly expensive. (After all, kindergarteners are on a budget.) Wow, that was the right decision! The moment we pulled it out of the box, Rosie the cat jumped in with a squeak. (Anyone who knows cats will understand how important it is that Rosie chose the bed over the box.) Although the bed was on the hardwood floor in the center of our living room at the time, it curled up in it. and slept there for the next few hours so there seems to be enough padding on the bottom. (Of course we didn't move the bed back then, whether it was in the middle of the floor or not, because everyone knows you can't move a sleeping cat, especially an old, rickety one, or I'll be damned.) The cat bed is alive now on my daughter's bed but often wanders around the house depending on where my daughter is playing. To be honest, Rosie sleeps on a pillow, on a couch, or in someone else's bed *almost* as often as she does in her own bed, but she loves her own special place. In terms of quality, I don't expect a long shelf life. decades, but that is not necessary. However, it's been a few months now and the bottom and sides are still soft and comfortable. The plush is comfortable and the edges are firm enough to support a sleeping cat's head while still being soft. Definitely one of our best investments! Photo Reference: Rosie (gray with peachy patches) weighs about 4.5 pounds - very small and quite thin. Basil (all gray) weighs about 12 pounds, much larger and longer. He can fit in a bed just fine if he tries, but he's a pushover and can take up half the couch whenever he wants. If it were much larger it probably wouldn't fit all the way in, although some cats or small dogs might not mind, especially since they can tilt their heads to the side. PS confession: Posting pictures of your cat on the internet is fun for prying eyes. Is this what I've been missing all along? I should consider more cat accessories!
