Review on 🔧 Helicoil 5521-7 Thread Repair Kit: Restoring Coarse 7/16-14 Inch Threads with Precision by Puggzy Wallin

I bought this helicoil insert kit to repair some aluminum bolt holes I cut in the gear case. In general the kit works great, no complaints. This kit proved to be much stronger than I thought it would be and allowed me to tighten the bolt to spec with no issues. I would recommend this kit to anyone looking to repair stripped threads and would recommend the regular use of cutting lubricant when cutting new threads. The drill bit is not included and in this case finding a 29/64 drill bit is not that easy. There are no instructions in the kit either, but it's a fairly simple process. Drill a hole of the recommended size, tap new threads with a tap and re-thread with a set screw. I give this set 4/5 stars because it doesn't include a drill!
