The actual stock photo of this item is incorrect but the one I received matches the description.

The item I bought and wanted was a wired camera that plugs into the side of a Nextbase 522 or 422gw DVR. With a cable length of approximately 19 feet, this camera easily meets your installation needs for any foreign or domestic passenger car. As one reviewer put it, "Test the cable and tube first to make sure it works before removing the cable and tube." route the tube in your car." I used the small cable tool that came with my Nextbase 522gw dashcam to hide the cable between my car's ceiling and the jambs, thinking it would tie the cable along with it down the wire that connects to my OEM mirror on the back. windscreen. The camera itself has a base of 3M foam tape which feels flimsy but has held up well to my car's rear window for over two months. Here's what I recommend: Do a test run - leave the cable connected and use the camera while driving before doing the final install (if you don't like it). to remove the wire only to start again. If you have a lot of extra wire left, wrap it in a few steps, not at the end or the beginning, otherwise the wire will curl up, pop out, or press on what you place. it's at the back, I had about 18 inches more so I wrapped 6 inches at the end, middle and beginning, that way I didn't have to deal with a big mess/return when I wanted to move or later on at it had to work around. lay the whole cable. Do some test drives and compare your video - make sure your camera is aligned to best capture the entire rear view, at first I had almost everything pointed at the passenger side, then it wasn't enough at the passenger side. A few things I found after setting it up: When you plug this in, a picture-in-picture appears on the dash cam's screen. Cameras inside are quite annoying to look at the screen while driving (distracting). I have found that hiding the dash cam behind the rearview mirror and turning on the screen saver helps. You'll now have up to four video files at once - depending on your settings, there will be two videos, one with the front camera and one with rear views, instead of an actual picture-in-picture like above. The camera also records video well with the window roof, this changes at night depending on the ambient light / street lights etc. This works well for what I want, I didn't have to use it before the car crash but it gives me peace of mind. According to the manual, the SD card should be formatted regularly (an internal function of the DVR). Hope that helps.
