It seemed too good to be true and it was. I spent a couple of weeks researching different types of manual juicers to find one that wasn't plastic and would last a long time. I chose stainless steel so it wouldn't break, but most stainless steel options complained of sharp edges and rusting. It had rave reviews except for a few people being suspicious of the pad, so I went with it. You have to be careful with the seal. Within a month it started cracking along the edge where it bends against the metal. The only way I can describe silicone is that it's friable, more like a sheet of gummy jelly than a functional kitchen tool. Forget about taking it off to clean. You will remove it, but the cracks will spread. Two months of regular use have passed and the seal is still about an inch. I expect within a week it will be completely splintered and unusable. Replacing the seal doesn't seem to help either. It's not worth using for two months (if you can even call it that). Keep searching.
