Will not block heavy bag readings

Ideal for bags under 30 pounds. Tried with bags around 50lbs, held for 20-30 seconds but it just blocks the weight display. After a few tries I almost gave up. I was hoping my dad could use it, but I'm not risking a back injury. It doesn't do me any good as most of my holdalls weigh around 50 pounds.

Get ready to buy tons of batteries

This scale is out of batteries! It will be discharged whenever we need it. We replaced the battery with a new one, weighed our luggage and a few months later the battery died again! I swapped the battery when not in use. I tore it down anyway. I won't take the battery out every time we're not using the scale and put it back in when we need it. It's garbage.

I like how the handle is easier to lift when .

I bought this to replace the one I had. I love that the handle is easier to lift when the luggage is heavy, but EXTREMELY difficult to lock the weight in place to get an accurate reading. I tried it and so did my friend. I can usually get an estimate of the reading, but that's useless if I'm usually pretty close to the max for my baggage and can't get an accurate reading. Pretty disappointed.

This scale cost me an extra $500!

I bought this scale based on popular reviews. This was a bit of a concern when measuring bags for a trip so I leave about 1/2 lb less in each bag just to be safe. However, I ended up paying an extra $100 for each registered bag. Not my bag had a reasonable weight. I packed 20kg-22kg per bag. My luggage went from 23kg to 27kg at the airport. All my bags were well packed so I could carry any weight. $14 for scales, no additional $500 for fees. I'm very upset!😑

Defective product, no service

I recently bought this scale for a vacation. I used it to weigh our suitcases before packing. When I went to weigh our packed luggage a few days later, the battery was dead. Thinking someone left it on, we bought a spare battery. It worked great! Turned it off and made sure it was definitely off. On the morning of our trip we add all our last things. Get the scale and the battery is dead again! Tried to contact Eat Smart via Twitter as I had a great customer service experience with another…

Highly recommend, best luggage and travel gear

I've been waiting to write this review for a while as I bought it a while ago. Just wanted to take a few flights overseas where I used this item to measure the weight of my luggage and belongings and then write a review after using it a few times. Given that airlines are completely ridiculous when it comes to weight allowances, I think staying within weight limits is absolutely essential to avoiding all of their "greedy corporate surcharges". I'm old and I remember well the air travel before…
