The material is really soft and is not heavy at all. I bought a size bigger so that I could have the flipped look. It is amazing. I went back and ordered another 1 in a different color. I usually wear a L but I got the XL to make sure it had enough flip. It was too big when I put it on but once I tied it I fell in love.
