Drain cap **fitted** on my shower! The contractor smeared a cement-like mixture all over the top of the lid (the holes aren't covered, but I'll have to poke it out. It's a type of precision tool designed to accomplish things that other physical (non-chemical) tools can't. I've had great results after using it to pull out a few hairs once and plan on getting more. After 5-7 pipe cleanings, the bristles were completely saturated with dirt. Finally the water is gone. Maybe you could seriously clean and reuse. But at this price a tool (or two) for clogging seems easier/cleaner etc.
