This worked well to fit a modern fabric shade onto an antique Danish globe lamp. This old lamp originally had a special lampshade with a large ring halfway up that was sandwiched between two threaded rings on the outside of the lamp socket body. Unusual location for sure. The old tint was dark and yellow-orange and distorted the light from the new 5000K LED daylight bulb. This new telescopic harp design includes a large ring-shaped harp holder that looked like a perfect match. The inner diameter of the ring was too small, but after 10 minutes of grinding with a Dremel tool I had a good fit. I was able to adjust the height of the shadow for the best aesthetic. Here are some photos. We are enthusiastic about the look of the lamp and the possibility of using modern attachment shades.
