If you value your hearing, DO NOT buy this. If you press the sound button, you first have to press it again to turn it off. The first time I pressed the button I almost dropped the dog and I think I lost some of my hearing in the process. Then I was wondering how the inaudible button works I can't hear it, does it stop after I release the button or does it work as a sound button. It would make sense to stop when you release the button, but I thought that would make sense for the sound button as well, but it doesn't. So since I can't know, I could possibly be torturing my dog and not even knowing. I returned it immediately. I originally got this to stop my neighbors dogs from barking at me, but I don't know when the mute button is on or off and I can't stand the audible noise. Remember, if you press the wrong button, you're not only hurting the animal, you're potentially hurting yourself. The sound is deafening.
