I had a problem with my computer and figured it was the power supply. I bought a power supply from HP and this meter for easy testing of the power supply. I measured the old PSU (weeks before I got the new HP PSU) and it confirmed that the 12V on the main ATX connector was bad. When I received a new share. Surprise! This counter showed that the new shipment had the same problem. I took my trusty old HP DVM and measured the consumables. another surprise! Both were good. 12V was good. This counter was DOA but too old to go back.
