Bought this to keep warm on my desk when I don't want to turn on the central heating. I have to say the amount of warmth this little thing gives off is amazing. Very useful lately in severe frosts. I like the safety feature that turns it off if it tips over. It makes me feel a little safer when he's working while my kids are around. I also appreciate that it doesn't feel very hot, so little hands grab it, they don't burn themselves. I used it sporadically for several months with only one problem: the smell from this thing gave off when it was new, the horrible smell of new electronics filled the whole room. It was so bad that my husband had to ask me to turn it off several times because it was giving me a headache. Eventually it resolved itself, but it took a long time to get it working beforehand. I just wanted to mention this in my review for those who might be sensitive to smells.
