Review on 57 9018 FIPK Performance Intake System by Sean Maile

Some background. I have a Lexus IS300 and bought an aftermarket air intake off ebay for $50. Well, it wasn't a CARB exemption and I moved to California. I went to get my car smog and it passed. UNITL.Meh looked under the hood and didn't see the "stickers". So I went to Revain and bought this. It was one of the few CARB free and cheapest of all the sites I checked. So it arrived in the mail 2 days after I ordered it. After about 1-1 1/2 hours of fiddling around in my garage it was installed. The instructions were easy enough for an electronics fan like me to install. The delay was that I dropped the bolt and had trouble finding it. To realize later that I don't even need it. Now for the entry. It sounds rough when you press the pedal. I love the fact that you never have to change the filter. All you have to do is buy the $15 kit and have it cleaned. It also comes with paper that says if someone tells you to replace it, tell them to call this number. Now for performance. When I want to face someone or need something more, it's always there. Now don't get confused. It's not turbo or supercharged, so it won't be that much. But stocks are better. The only thing I would wish for is more options. Like different colors or chrome. But that's just my preference.
