The quality is top notch and I recommend the product for purchase.

My XPS17 9700-2819 model came with the following specifications: UHD 3840x2400, i7 10875H, 32GB RAM, 1024GB SSD, and RTX 2060. I was concerned that the charge issue detailed in this article would exist before I purchased: I was fortunate that mycompy did not experience the indicated failure, though. The laptop consumes the required 130W of electricity when it is fully loaded (see photo). The box specifies a delivery date of September 1, 2022. Therefore, check the date before unpacking and avoid taking copies from the early shipments (July and maybe August) if you absolutely do not want to encounter this issue and have to replace the motherboard. I have been using an Acer Ethos 8951G laptop since 2022. Its main selling point was a big 18.4 "Full HD screen. Naturally, it has been morally out of date for a while, but I haven't come across any alternatives. All computers with large screens (17.3") had futuristic designs, matte displays, and enormous frames, none of which suited my tastes. I couldn't take it anymore, so in 2022 I bought a Dell XPS15 7590 (4K iPS, CPU i9, RAM 32GB), which was perfect for me other from the fact that the 15" screen was much smaller than my previous 18.4". I made the decision to buy this model with a backlog for the future after knowing that Dell would end the XPS/Precision series in 2022 with the release of the XPS 17. I consider the laptop to be the best available on the market based on the results of the first month of use.

Pros
  • Gorgeous (17") 4K display with ultra-thin bezels and a glossy finish. - Loud and excellent audio. - The most advanced hardware that can be upgraded, including two slots for RAM and an M2 SSD. - 4 Thunderbolt 3 ports, each of which may be utilized to connect any peripherals as well as charge devices. - A spacious touchpad and a comfortable keyboard. Vapor Chamber - ated cooling system. The coolers are completely silent when operating in low load mode, which includes online browsing, working with papers, etc. Even though it generates quite a bit of noise when running demanding programs or games, it doesn't overheat or lag. I don't play often, but the most recent NFS at high graphics settings and an external 4K display uses 65% of the CPU and 50% of the GPU and generates about 55–60 frames per second. - Strict layout. There is no creaking or backlash due to the metal case and excellent workmanship. - The ability to authenticate with Windows Hello or a fingerprint scanner.
Cons
  • - The so-called "unobtrusive mode," which was present in earlier XPS models and allowed users to turn off the display, speakers, and keyboard backlight by pressing the Fn + F7 key combination, is no longer present. Otherwise, the PC functions normally. It is especially useful when, for instance, you want to avoid being distracted while watching a movie on an external monitor and want to turn off the "burning" laptop screen. - There is just Modern (Connected) Stand by S0, not the standard sleep mode (Stand by S3). Hibernation is the only alternative to shutting down, and while it will save any active windows, data, etc., the exit time is similar to that of fully turning on. - The white is a little bit more yellowish and the screen brightness is a little bit lower than the XPS 15 7590 (2022) model.
