I thought they would grip the levers better but these gloves work very well and offer better padding. They repel dirt and some water quite well, although they aren't fully waterproof. Abrasion-resistant padding on the upper keeps my fingers satisfied after looking at a random tree. The extra padding on the palms is good for preventing your hands from getting numb during a long and bumpy ride. They even work a little when using the touchscreen. Although fast tapping or swiping sometimes doesn't register well.
