Review on 🧰 Grommet Kit - Lord Hodge 1073A 1 by Nathan Jones

I don't like how many reviews online are not related to a specific product or model, so first let me say that this review is specific to the Lord & Hodge 1073A Metal Bush applies to kit-one.Careful!In the description of the item in one place it says that there are 48 grommets in the set, and in another - 24. There are 24 grommets in the set.It also comes with a set of installation tools and a Block of wood supplied to absorb shock during the installation process All you need is a regular hammer I had to add bushings to some plastic sheeting I bought a Bostich brand kit from a local Lowes store and found the kit worked great was relatively easy to use resulting in neatly worked grommets.Once I discovered what they were capable of I decided I needed more than what I bought from Lowes but this Lowes store is 30 minutes away and has three $4 gallons of gas (I live in the country). So I ordered some Lord & Hodge sets from Revain (Prime with free shipping). They are just as good if not better! Lord & Hodge 1073A-1, finished with 5/16" bore bushings. The instruments included in the respective Lord & Hodge and Bostich kits were very similar. In fact, the punching or powered tools were identical. The instruments were similar but different I felt that the tool in this set was easier to use and more effective than the similar tool in the Bostich set.The Lord & Hodge set contained a very small piece of wood to use under the lower forming tool.it is funny. It's too small and flimsy to support the installation of all the grommets in the kit. I describe it as a large square of wood with letters from the scrabble game. I used an 8" length of 1 x 4 for my backing. These grommets fit securely.In fact I was able to make a molded tarp rain cover using these grommets as fasteners along the seams.They worked for this purpose wi Really good and let the lids breathe If you put in a little creativity and see that they can make all the gasket sets you will be surprised.
