Review on Dorman 674-844 Driver Side Catalytic Converter with πŸ”§ Integrated Exhaust Manifold - Infiniti / Nissan Models (Non-CARB Compliant) by Bryan Aleman

This time, choosing the cheap route didn't pay off.

Well I went the cheap route and decided to order this and the associated part (674-843 for the other side) for my Titan as the overall reviews were pretty good and it bit my butt . I don't mind the sloppy welds or the way the parts looked going into the engine bay and under the truck, but of the two, one ended up with a hole. In the store where I took it, they finally found a hole with a smoke machine, closed by one of the reinforcement plates. After the plate has been cut off, it looks like the hole was caused by a bad weld. It may even have happened when the sheet metal was being welded and thus passed quality control. I ended up saving a few bucks but lost most of my savings on extra work to fix the broken part. Of course I could send it back for another one or get the money back but then I don't know what I'll get next and I had to get my truck back on the road. I have attached a photo of the hole in the exhaust manifold after removing the plate.
