They are great! I have very thin waist-length hair - lots of it - but my actual strands of hair are very thin. Heated curls leave my hair within 2 hours. Professional barbers go out of their way to style my hair in any style and I always have to go for a 1960s no-curl hairstyle. They work great on my waist length thin hair. I sprayed my hair with hairspray (curling spray is better but I don't have it anymore) and after blow drying my hair I curled it almost dry (it was still damp). I could absolutely sleep in it and am a light sleeper with a sensitive scalp. I encourage people to watch videos on how to properly curl their hair with these curlers. You have to put a roll on your head and there is a technique for that. Then you can sleep with them. I just tie my scarf and go to bed. The curls/waves lasted over 36 hours which is impressive. This is a product where user error is likely the cause of many bad reviews. There is absolutely nothing wrong with them, they are easy to use and of good quality. However, if you don't curl your hair properly, you obviously won't get good results.
