Review on GRK ProPak 605 Composite Screw Kit by Shawn Pollock

Had to replace Trex decking under their warranty (different story) and chose these screws for the decking. The kit included a T10 Torx bit. Screws work well by pulling the decking material into the hole with their rear threads on top of the screw. The torx bit that came with it turned out to be junk. It broke within the first ten screws. I grabbed one from a nearby box of screws and it soon came loose. After robbing all the beats I could find, the deck was complete. The higher quality bits had their screw heads chip off from time to time and some of them broke right in the hole. Generally they worked fine, but I would look for better torx bits before starting next time. They worked well for ends that needed to be drilled at an angle. Their slim profile helped prevent the Trex ends from splitting.
